Abstract:Creating relightable urban scenes from images or videos is widely useful but highly ill-posed. Urban environments are typically unbounded and extend beyond the visible regions. As a result, many portions of the scene remain unobserved, yet these invisible regions can cast shadows onto visible areas. Reasonably modeling shadows cast by such invisible regions is challenging and poses a significant obstacle to creating relightable urban scenes. At the same time, sparse input views and complex illumination conditions further complicate relighting, as they introduce severe ambiguities in material decomposition. In this paper, we propose Shadow-guided Relightable Urban Scene with Generation model (SRUG), a novel framework designed to address relighting challenges in urban scenes. SRUG leverages shadows to guide a 3D completion model for recovering the geometry of invisible regions, promoting the synthesis of physically reasonable shadows. In addition, SRUG employs an iterative material decomposition scheme that applies the large material model (LMM) to provide material supervision and iteratively decompose the scene's material properties, enabling robust material decomposition. Building upon these components, we introduce a physically-based lighting model that captures the complex illumination of urban scenes and supports reliable relighting. Extensive quantitative evaluations and visual comparisons demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches in both novel view synthesis and relighting tasks.
Abstract:Pre-trained video large language models excel at visual reasoning. However, they struggle when videos arrive with auxiliary streams, such as audio, depth map, or dense temporal evidence. In such a scenario, uniform fusion induces modality interference, allowing irrelevant channels to distract the model. To address this issue, we present a unified multimodal video understanding framework, named UniMVU, that performs instruction-aware fusion across video, audio, depth map, or any other modality inputs via two levels of dynamic gating: inner-modality gates emphasize salient regions within each modality, whereas modality-level gates re-weight whole streams; both are conditioned on the text instruction to adaptively balance modality importance. Our UniMVU combines cross-modal self-attention with instruction-driven inner-modality gating module and a modality-level gating module with control token; for time-aligned streams we further adopt a fast-to-slow fusion scheme that reduces redundancy. Across six benchmarks (AVQA, AVSD, Music-AVQA, ScanQA, SQA3D and MVBench), our UniMVU achieves consistent gains over static-fusion baselines achieving gains as high as 13.5 in terms of CIDEr metric. Further, our analysis shows that the gating mechanism aligns with the human-interpretable modality relevance, and ablations show the contributions of inner-modality and modality-level gating. Our UniMVU provides a simple, unified recipe for instruction-aware multimodal video understanding that scales to diverse modalities without hand-crafted fusion rules.
Abstract:Current end-to-end autonomous driving models are fundamentally constrained by the behavioral cloning ceiling of imitation learning. While reinforcement learning offers a path to smarter autonomy, it demands two missing pieces of infrastructure: (1) a cognitive foundation that understands traffic semantics and driving intent, and (2) a foresighted physical environment that can anticipate the consequences of candidate actions. To this end, we propose CoPhy, a CognitivePhysical reinforcement learning framework for autonomous driving. To distill to think, we distill VLM knowledge into the BEV encoder and then discard the VLM entirely, retaining cognitive ability at zero inference cost while releasing the cognitive channel as a pluggable interface for optional human language commands. To foresee to act, we build an auto-regressive BEV world model that explicitly predicts future semantic maps conditioned on candidate actions, serving as an interpretable physical sandbox from which safety metrics are directly derived. Built upon this dual infrastructure, we optimize the driving policy via GRPO with a novel dual-reward mechanism: a physical reward derived from BEV rollouts enforces hard safety constraints, while a cognitive reward from a language-aligned scorer ensures intent compliance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CoPhy not only achieves state-of-the-art results on NAVSIM v1 and v2 benchmarks, but also enables safer driving via cognitively informed scene compliance and flexible intent control through user-defined language instructions.
Abstract:Data scaling plays a pivotal role in the pursuit of general intelligence. However, the prevailing perception-planning paradigm in autonomous driving relies heavily on expensive manual annotations to supervise trajectory planning, which severely limits its scalability. Conversely, although existing perception-free driving world models achieve impressive driving performance, their real-world reasoning ability for planning is solely built on next frame image forecasting. Due to the lack of enough supervision, these models often struggle with comprehensive scene understanding, resulting in unsatisfactory trajectory planning. In this paper, we propose EponaV2, a novel paradigm of driving world models, which achieves high-quality planning with comprehensive future reasoning. Inspired by how human drivers anticipate 3D geometry and semantics, we train our model to forecast more comprehensive future representations, which can be additionally decoded to future geometry and semantic maps. Extracting the 3D and semantic modalities enables our model to deeply understand the surrounding environment, and the future prediction task significantly enhances the real-world reasoning capabilities of EponaV2, ultimately leading to improved trajectory planning. Moreover, inspired by the training recipe of Large Language Models (LLMs), we introduce a flow matching group relative policy optimization mechanism to further improve planning accuracy. The state-of-the-art (SOTA) performances of EponaV2 among perception-free models on three NAVSIM benchmarks (+1.3PDMS, +5.5EPDMS) demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods.
Abstract:Reliable simulation evaluation of robot manipulation policies serves as a high-fidelity proxy for real-world performance. Although existing benchmarks cover a wide range of task categories, they lack visual realism, creating a large domain gap between simulation and reality. This undermines the reliability of simulation-based evaluation in predicting real-world performance. To mitigate the sim-to-real visual gap, we conduct a systematic analysis to isolate the effects of lighting and material. Our results show that these factors play a critical role in geometric reasoning and spatial grounding, yet are largely overlooked in existing benchmarks. Motivated by the analysis, we propose VISER, a visually realistic benchmark for evaluating robot manipulation in simulation. VISER features a high-fidelity dataset of over 1,000 3D assets with physically-based rendering (PBR) materials, along with 3D scenes created from these assets through curated layouts or generation. To this end, we propose an automated pipeline leveraging Multi-modal Large Language Models (MLLMs) for material-aware part segmentation and material retrieval, enabling scalable generation of physically plausible assets. Building on the high-fidelity 3D asset dataset, we construct diverse evaluation tasks, such as grasping, placing, and long-horizon tasks, enabling scalable and reproducible assessment of Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models. Our benchmark shows a strong correlation between simulation and real-world performance, achieving an average Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.92 across different policies.
Abstract:Conventional 3D instance segmentation methods rely on labor-intensive 3D annotations for supervised training, which limits their scalability and generalization to novel objects. Recent approaches leverage multi-view 2D masks from the Segment Anything Model (SAM) to guide the merging of 3D geometric primitives, thereby enabling zero-shot 3D instance segmentation. However, these methods typically process each frame independently and rely solely on 2D metrics, such as SAM prediction scores, to produce segmentation maps. This design overlooks multi-view correlations and inherent 3D priors, leading to inconsistent 2D masks across views and ultimately fragmented 3D segmentation. In this paper, we propose MV3DIS, a coarse-to-fine framework for zero-shot 3D instance segmentation that explicitly incorporates 3D priors. Specifically, we introduce a 3D-guided mask matching strategy that uses coarse 3D segments as a common reference to match 2D masks across views and consolidates multi-view mask consistency via 3D coverage distributions. Guided by these view-consistent 2D masks, the coarse 3D segments are further refined into precise 3D instances. Additionally, we introduce a depth consistency weighting scheme that quantifies projection reliability to suppress ambiguities from inter-object occlusions, thereby improving the robustness of 3D-to-2D correspondence. Extensive experiments on the ScanNetV2, ScanNet200, ScanNet++, Replica, and Matterport3D datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of MV3DIS, which achieves superior performance over previous methods
Abstract:Incremental 3D object perception is a critical step toward embodied intelligence in dynamic indoor environments. However, existing incremental 3D detection methods rely on extensive annotations of novel classes for satisfactory performance. To address this limitation, we propose FI3Det, a Few-shot Incremental 3D Detection framework that enables efficient 3D perception with only a few novel samples by leveraging vision-language models (VLMs) to learn knowledge of unseen categories. FI3Det introduces a VLM-guided unknown object learning module in the base stage to enhance perception of unseen categories. Specifically, it employs VLMs to mine unknown objects and extract comprehensive representations, including 2D semantic features and class-agnostic 3D bounding boxes. To mitigate noise in these representations, a weighting mechanism is further designed to re-weight the contributions of point- and box-level features based on their spatial locations and feature consistency within each box. Moreover, FI3Det proposes a gated multimodal prototype imprinting module, where category prototypes are constructed from aligned 2D semantic and 3D geometric features to compute classification scores, which are then fused via a multimodal gating mechanism for novel object detection. As the first framework for few-shot incremental 3D object detection, we establish both batch and sequential evaluation settings on two datasets, ScanNet V2 and SUN RGB-D, where FI3Det achieves strong and consistent improvements over baseline methods. Abstract:Diffusion Large Language Models (dLLMs) have achieved rapid progress, viewed as a promising alternative to the autoregressive paradigm. However, most dLLM decoders still adopt a global confidence threshold, and do not explicitly model local context from neighboring decoded states or temporal consistency of predicted token IDs across steps. To address this issue, we propose a simple spatio-temporal stability guided decoding approach, named STDec. We observe strong spatio-temporal stability in dLLM decoding: newly decoded tokens tend to lie near decoded neighbors, and their predicted IDs often remain consistent across several denoising steps. Inspired by this stability, our STDec includes spatial-aware decoding and temporal-aware decoding. The spatial-aware decoding dynamically generates the token-adaptive threshold by aggregating the decoded states of nearby tokens. The temporal-aware decoding relaxes the decoding thresholds for tokens whose predicted token IDs remain consistent over denoising steps. Our STDec is training-free and remains compatible with cache-based acceleration methods. Across textual reasoning and multimodal understanding benchmarks, STDec substantially improves throughput while maintaining comparable task performance score. Notably, on MBPP with LLaDA, STDec achieves up to 14.17x speedup with a comparable score. Homepage: https://yzchen02.github.io/STDec.
Abstract:Compositional 3D scene generation from a single view requires the simultaneous recovery of scene layout and 3D assets. Existing approaches mainly fall into two categories: feed-forward generation methods and per-instance generation methods. The former directly predict 3D assets with explicit 6DoF poses through efficient network inference, but they generalize poorly to complex scenes. The latter improve generalization through a divide-and-conquer strategy, but suffer from time-consuming pose optimization. To bridge this gap, we introduce 3D-Fixer, a novel in-place completion paradigm. Specifically, 3D-Fixer extends 3D object generative priors to generate complete 3D assets conditioned on the partially visible point cloud at the original locations, which are cropped from the fragmented geometry obtained from the geometry estimation methods. Unlike prior works that require explicit pose alignment, 3D-Fixer uses fragmented geometry as a spatial anchor to preserve layout fidelity. At its core, we propose a coarse-to-fine generation scheme to resolve boundary ambiguity under occlusion, supported by a dual-branch conditioning network and an Occlusion-Robust Feature Alignment (ORFA) strategy for stable training. Furthermore, to address the data scarcity bottleneck, we present ARSG-110K, the largest scene-level dataset to date, comprising over 110K diverse scenes and 3M annotated images with high-fidelity 3D ground truth. Extensive experiments show that 3D-Fixer achieves state-of-the-art geometric accuracy, which significantly outperforms baselines such as MIDI and Gen3DSR, while maintaining the efficiency of the diffusion process. Abstract:We introduce Kimi K2.5, an open-source multimodal agentic model designed to advance general agentic intelligence. K2.5 emphasizes the joint optimization of text and vision so that two modalities enhance each other. This includes a series of techniques such as joint text-vision pre-training, zero-vision SFT, and joint text-vision reinforcement learning. Building on this multimodal foundation, K2.5 introduces Agent Swarm, a self-directed parallel agent orchestration framework that dynamically decomposes complex tasks into heterogeneous sub-problems and executes them concurrently. Extensive evaluations show that Kimi K2.5 achieves state-of-the-art results across various domains including coding, vision, reasoning, and agentic tasks. Agent Swarm also reduces latency by up to $4.5\times$ over single-agent baselines. We release the post-trained Kimi K2.5 model checkpoint to facilitate future research and real-world applications of agentic intelligence.
